WILKES-BARRE — The city’s own Coal Creative took home two awards in New York City Monday night from the American Business Awards, adding to an already lengthy list of accolades.

President/CEO Holly K. Pilcavage and Chief Creative Officer Samuel O’Connell attended the ceremony on Times Square, where they accepted a bronze and a gold award in the video category, receiving recognition among national brands such as AT&T and Microsoft.

The gold award was in the sports video category for an internet commercial promoting the Forty Fort-based athletic gear company, Hocsocx.

The bronze came in the health and wellness video category for a descriptive piece on behalf of The Bench Project. The Shavertown-based company is a unique brand that is working to build a global network that encourages self-reflection and connected-ness.
