WILKES-BARRE — A man from Edwardsville caught in an online solicitation sex sting pled guilty to related offenses in Luzerne County Court.
TyQwon Young, 36, of Bertram Court, was arrested by the Kingston Municipal Police Department on allegations he solicited a 15-year-old girl for sex who actually was a confidential witness.
Court records say the confidential witness contacted police with photos of communications and a video of a meeting with Young, who identified himself during online communications as Tommy.
Police in court records say Young messaged the witness in September and was told he was communicating with an “almost 16” year old girl.
Young continued to message the witness with propositions for sexual favors and asking the girl for her address.
Young pled guilty to criminal attempt to commit unlawful contact with a minor and criminal use of communication facility before President Judge Michael T. Vough.
Young is scheduled to be sentenced July 20.
