WILKES-BARRE — A Luzerne Borough man who punched his girlfriend and threatened to kill the woman and her children was sentenced to up to 11 years in state prison.

Luzerne County Judge Joseph F. Sklarosky Jr. sentenced Justin J. Davis, 33, of Union Street, to four years to 11 years in prison on an aggravated assault charge followed by four years probation on a terroristic threat charge. Davis pled guilty to the charges Feb. 13.

Luzerne Borough police arrested Davis twice in September 2020.

Court records say police responded to his residence for a domestic disturbance on Sept. 25, 2020, when officers noticed a woman had facial injuries.

The woman required emergency surgery due to a broken orbital bone, court records say.

Davis was arrested Sept. 29, 2020, on allegations he threatened to kill the woman and her children, according to court records.
