NEPIRC also recognized the conclusion of membership terms for three long-standing members of the board: William Cockerill, Scranton Central Labor Union AFL-CIO; Garry Hartman, president, Cheetah Chassis; and Bruce Daniels, controller and CFO, Medico Construction Equipment. Collectively, those individuals represent 50 years of NEPIRC board experience.
“NEPIRC is grateful for the leadership that Mr. Cockerill, Mr. Hartman and Mr. Daniels provided to our organization over the past three decades and the way in which they drove us to become one of the highest performing economic development organizations in the country,” Esoda said. “Under their direction, NEPIRC has received numerous awards, including two for Excellence in Economic Development from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and assisted our manufacturers in the creation of thousands of manufacturing jobs across our eleven counties,” he added.
Esoda said NEPIRC looks forward to the valuable input and leadership of its incoming board members and is confident that regional manufacturers will benefit from the representation of these individuals, along with NEPIRC’s current board members.
