SCRANTON — The Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Whatley released the following statement on Joe Biden’s visit to Pennsylvania on Tuesday:
“As Joe Biden visits the Keystone State today, Pennsylvanians are struggling because of Bidenomics. Pennsylvania families are suffering from historic inflation, unaffordable gas prices and record high housing costs. It’s no wonder why Pennsylvanians will vote to make America affordable again and elect President Trump in November.”
The RNC offered the following:
• Inflation in the state is at 17%, costing the average Pennsylvania family $888 more per month.
• The average price for a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania currently sits at $3.73, which is over $1 higher than when Biden took office.
• Average gas and diesel prices in Pennsylvania both hit new record highs under Biden.
• From 2020 to 2023, the median sale price of a home in Pennsylvania has jumped 31%.
• In Greater Philadelphia, the median sale price for homes hit all-time highs under Biden.
• Biden is losing to Trump in Pennsylvania — just like every other battleground state.
• Only 35% of Pennsylvanians approve of the job Biden is doing. With approval from only 27% of 18-34-year-olds.
• Only 27% of another critical block, Pennsylvania’s independent voters, approve of the job Biden is doing.
A statement was also released on behalf of Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman, Lawrence Tabas, regarding Biden’s Pennsylvania Stops:
“Joe Biden’s campaign stops in Pennsylvania this week ought to serve as a sobering reminder of the failures his administration’s policies have had for the Keystone State.
“This past year alone, inflation within the state has surged by 8.2%, marking the most substantial increase among all 50 states. Families cannot afford to go grocery shopping and home prices have skyrocketed. Voters will remember all of President Biden’s failures when they cast their vote this November.”
