WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Police in Wilkes-Barre Township say they are investigating an armed robbery of Dollar General on Kidder Street that occurred Friday night.

Police responded to the store at 681 Kidder St. just after 9 p.m.

Two employees were counting cash in an office when an unknown suspect brandished two handguns and demanded the money, police reported.

The unknown suspect fled the store and was last seen in the area of Ollies Bargain Outlet.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to call Wilkes-Barre Township police at 570-208-4635 ext. 363.
