State Rep. James Haddock addressed the student body of Old Forge Junior/Senior High School in support of the passage of his 9/11 Remembrance legislation, which requires a moment of silence in all public schools to honor those lost on Sept. 11, 2001.

Haddock shared his personal reflections on the events of 9/11, the importance of remembering those who lost their lives, and how his legislation aims to ensure that future generations understand the impact of the day on the state and nation.

A question and answer period followed the speech.

“The students of Old Forge listened intently during the presentation and asked some very pointed questions on the events of the day and the ramifications afterward,” Haddock said.
