WILKES-BARRE — Market Street Bridge and River Street in the area of the bridge are closed and causing major traffic delays as police investigate an incident Tuesday afternoon, according to our newsgathering partners at Eyewitness News (WBRE/WYOU).
Officials told reporters with Eyewitness News that authorities were called to the intersection of Market Street and River Street shortly before 5:15 p.m.
A mangled bicycle was observed lying in the middle of River Street, as well as a vehicle with a smashed windshield, Eyewitness News reported.
An ambulance was also seen taking off from the area.
