KINGSTON — A parking complaint on South Atherton Avenue Thursday resulted in the capture of a man wanted for sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl in Philadelphia.
A parking enforcement officer contacted police regarding a parking issue at about 9:10 a.m.
When police arrived, they allegedly observed the occupant, Dadaji Early, 53, of Philadelphia, smoking marijuana.
A records check revealed Early was wanted by Philadelphia police on felony sexual assault charges and was listed as “armed and dangerous,” police reported.
Early was detained on the arrest warrant in Philadelphia charging him with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, unlawful restraint, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, corruption of minors, indecent assault, terroristic threats and endangering the welfare of children. Early was arraigned by District Judge James Dixon of Hazle Township and jailed without bail at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
