CASA of Wyoming Valley held its annual fundraiser on Friday night at the Westmoreland Club’s Grand Hall. This year’s event was the CASA Cocktail Carnival, and it featured costumes, prizes, refreshments and the opportunity for guests to socialize.

The carnival atmosphere was meant to transport guests to “the sights, sounds and tastes of a carnival in the 1920s.”

Friday’s event also served as a celebration of CASA’s expansion into Wyoming County.

According to a press release, “CASA of Luzerne County has provided a voice for nearly 350 children in the Luzerne County dependency court system over 11 years through the hard work and dedication of the volunteer advocates. The expansion into Wyoming County will allow the organization to reach additional children who are in need of a voice but did not have this opportunity.”
