WILKES-BARRE — A district judge dismissed a theft charge against Ted Jackson Jr., of Shavertown, when he paid an $84.44 food bill to Pizza L’Oven in Exeter.
Jackson, 46, was charged by Wyoming Area Regional Police in August on allegations from the restaurant’s owner that a dinner bill was not paid in full on June 8, according to court records.
The theft charge was recently dismissed when Jackson paid the dinner bill.
In an unrelated case, Pennsylvania State Police at Wilkes-Barre charged Jackson with stealing $30 from the Bear Creek Little League concession stand on May 9, court records say.
A preliminary hearing on charges of theft and defiant trespass related to the alleged theft at the Little League field is scheduled for Oct. 28.
