WILKES-BARRE — In observance of September as “Hunger Action Month,” state Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski, D-Wilkes-Barre, will host a food drive at both of his district offices from Sept. 16 through Oct. 16.
“This food drive is an opportunity for residents of our community to make a big difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity,” said Pashinski. “The food insecurity rate in Pennsylvania in 2021 was 9.4%. It is important that we come together to fight hunger and show our community that we care about each other’s well-being.”
Drop off locations are:
• 152 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Wilkes-Barre.
• Tuft-Tex Complex, 1325 N. River St., Suite 101A, Plains Township.
Non-perishable food collected during this time will be donated to the Keystone Mission.
For information, call Pashinski’s Wilkes-Barre office at 570-825-5934, or his Plains Township office at 570-301-6158.
