WILKES-BARRE — Luzerne County District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce and Wilkes-Barre city police detectives need the public’s assistance in seeking a “person of interest” in the ongoing investigation of a fatal shooting on East Northampton Street on Sept. 10.
Three pictures were released Wednesday.
Police said they believe the man was in the area of East Northampton and South Main streets at about 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 9, a day before the fatal shooting.
Details of the man’s involvement in the fatal shooting were not released.
Lonnie Davis, 35, was fatally shot in the area of East Northampton Street and Livingston Lane at about 3:40 p.m. Sept. 10. Davis ran across the street where he collapsed and was provided aide by good Samaritans before city emergency medical technicians arrived at the scene.
Davis died at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township.
Branden M. Delcastillo, 28, was arrested and charged with criminal homicide, tampering with evidence, firearms not to be carried without a license, possessing instruments of crime and terroristic threats for the fatal shooting.
Court records say Davis once dated Delcastillo’s mother and the two men had a longstanding feud.
Anyone with information or can identify the man is asked to call city police Detective James Conmy at 570-208-6775.
