KINGSTON — A two-month-long investigation resulted in the early morning arrests of three men on drug trafficking offenses Wednesday.

More than 1,000 bags of fentanyl, packages bags of crack cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana, powder cocaine, Ecstasy, ammunition and more than $15,000 were seized when search warrants were served at locations at Hilltop Apartments and Jackson Street, Edwardsville, and Gardner Street in Plymouth.

Arrested were: Armond K. Hobson, 27; Wendell Keith Freeman, 30; and Akilees Hobson, 26. They were charged with multiple felony drug trafficking offenses.

The three men were arraigned by District Judge Joseph Spagnuolo of Plains Township and jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility without bail. Freeman is on state parole and Akilees Hobson on federal parole.

Assisting in the investigation were the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office; Luzerne County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force; police from Kingston, Wilkes-Barre, Edwardsville and Plymouth; and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
