JACKSON TWP. — Police in Jackson Township charged Melissa Lugar, 57, of Harding, with stealing items from a house she was hired to clean.

Police allege Lugar stole sterling silver utensils, bowls, trays and pitchers from a residence on Conyngham Drive.

A search warrant was served at Lugar’s residence where police say they recovered several of the stolen items.

Police say the items stolen by Lugar valued $15,499.

Lugar was arraigned by District Judge Brian Tupper in Kingston Township on charges of theft and receiving stolen property. She was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
