DALLAS TOWNSHIP — CASA: A Night in NAPA was held Thursday night at the Beaumont Inn. The event supports volunteers who represent abused and neglected children in Luzerne and Wyoming counties.
According to a press release distributed by Ruth Corcoran, the event’s co-chair, volunteers for CASA — which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates — provide approximately 18,000 hours of child advocacy at more than 420 court hearings per year.
A Night in NAPA is CASA’s main fundraiser this year, and was attended by hundreds of Northeast Pennsylvania’s community leaders and CASA advocates.
Corcoran co-chaired the event with Lake Ryan Gemzik. Alex Grover serves as CASA’s Wyoming County Board Chair.
