WILKES-BARRE — An Exeter man will face trial this week in Luzerne County Court on allegations he bit the thumb of a Wilkes-Barre Township police officer in the parking lot of the now closed Dream Girl’s adult venue earlier this year.

Brandon Lee Frisby, 45, of Cedar Street, appeared before Luzerne County Judge David W. Lupas on Monday when his attorney, John Donovan, said efforts to resolve the criminal case in a plea agreement failed.

Lupas instructed Frisby to return to the courthouse on Tuesday for selection of a jury for trial on charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threats.

Court records allege police in Wilkes-Barre Township responded to the adult club for an intoxicated and disorderly patron, identified as Frisby, in the parking lot at about 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 31.

Frisby was detained and handcuffed after he allegedly showed signs of being intoxicated in public.

After a struggle to get Frisby in the rear seat of a cruiser, Frisby placed his head through a sliding Plexiglas partition and began shouting, court records say.

A police officer attempted to push Frisby back onto the rear seat when Frisby allegedly opened his mouth and bit the officer’s thumb.

While biting down on the officer’s thumb, Frisby leaned all his body weight back onto the rear seat causing more pain to the officer, court records say.

Another officer stunned Frisby with a Taser to get him to release his bite, according to court records.

The officer was treated at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township.

Employees at Dream Girls told police, according to court records, Frisby was disorderly and erratic and threatened to shoot the manager when told to leave.

The adult club on Mundy Street closed in March.
