JENKINS TWP. — A Jenkins Township man was arraigned Sunday on allegations he threatened a woman with a firearm at his residence after a verbal argument.

Michael Sekusky, 40, of Charles Place, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and two counts of reckless endangerment. Sekusky was jailed without bail at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility, as District Judge Rick Cronauer of Wilkes-Barre deemed him a threat to the community.

According to the criminal complaint filed by Jenkins Township police:

Police responded to a domestic disturbance involving a firearm at Sekusky’s residence just after 10 p.m. Friday. Sekusky was encountered sitting on the front porch where he dropped a firearm before he was detained.

A woman told police she was involved in an argument with Sekusky and went to the garage where, a child told the woman, “he has a gun,” the complaint says.

The woman reported Sekusky told her, “this is it,” and aimed the firearm at her, according to the complaint.

Police in the complaint say the woman and child hid in a bedroom closet where they called 911.

Police said they recovered two loaded firearms from Sekusky, the complaint says.
