WILKES-BARRE — An 18-year-old man was shot in the abdomen on North Pennsylvania Avenue early Monday morning, Wilkes-Barre City police said.
Officers responded to the 200 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue for a male who suffered a gunshot wound at about 2:20 a.m.
Officers administered lifesaving measures until Wilkes-Barre City emergency medical services arrived. The victim was transported to an area hospital, police say.
City police detectives responded, and evidence was collected.
Police said the investigation is continuing.
