HANOVER TWP. — An 18-year-old Hanover Township man was arraigned on allegations he sexually assaulted a child, his second alleged offense involving another victim.
Allamar Hassan Lawrence, of Dundee Apartments, was initially charged by Hanover Township police on June 25 with sexually assaulting a boy at the Dundee Apartments complex on Dundee Road on June 14, according to court records.
Lawrence was charged after the child was interviewed by a forensic interviewer at the Luzerne County Children’s Advocacy Center in Wilkes-Barre. Police in court records allege Lawrence recorded a sex act he forced the child to perform.
After Lawrence’s arrest, police learned of another alleged victim, a child, court records say.
Police charged Lawrence after the second victim disclosed alleged sexual acts when questioned by a forensic interviewer at the Children’s Advocacy Center on July 1.
Lawrence was arraigned by District Judge Donald Whittaker of Nanticoke on the latest charges involving two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and a single count of corruption of minors.
Lawrence was previously charged related to the first victim with two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and one count each of possession of child sexual abuse materials, filming a sex act involving a child, and corruption of minors.
Lawrence remains jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $350,000 total bail.
