It will reopen today
The Wyoming Valley Mall in Wilkes-Barre Township.
A water main break in the parking lot of the Wyoming Valley Mall on Sunday forced the mall and several surrounding businesses to close.
Repairs were made Sunday afternoon, staff said in a post on Facebook, and the mall will reopen at its normally scheduled time of 11 a.m. Monday.
Staff of The Wyoming Valley Mall posted on Facebook around noon on Sunday that the mall would be closed on Sunday due to a water main break.
“Crews are on site and working diligently to get us back up and running. Thank you for your patience,” mall staff said in the post.
Crunch Fitness, which is located in the same parking lot as the mall, was also affected by the break and forced to close temporarily.
It’s unclear exactly how many other businesses in the area were affected.
Mall staff thanked the repair team.
“Thank you to our friends at JS Wright for the quick response and hard work in getting us back up and running in a timely manner,” staff said in a Facebook post.
