Repairs to cause lane restrictions on I-81

There will be driving lane restrictions/closures on Interstate 81 northbound in Lackawanna County between Moosic (Exit 182) and River Street (Exit 184) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, for road base repairs.

When encountering a work zone, PennDOT asks drivers to drive the posted speed limit, turn on their headlights, pay close attention to signs and flaggers, and avoid all distractions. In high-traffic locations, motorists are encouraged to use both lanes of travel to the merge point and take turns merging into the open lane.
