WILKES-BARRE — Wilkes-Barre City police are investigating gunfire where multiple shell casings were recovered Wednesday morning.
The shooting took place in the area of Trethaway Avenue and Oliver Street, about a block from George Avenue, at about 6 a.m.
A parked vehicle was struck by a discharged round.
It was not immediately known if anyone was injured in the shooting.
Officers were observed marking and collecting more than 12 shell casings and canvassing the area for surveillance footage.
Police say they are investigating and believe the shooting was an isolated incident.
