WYOMING — The Wyoming Free Library will hold a discussion group during the upcoming season of “Downton Abbey.” The discussion group meets at 4 p.m. every Monday. The final discussion will meet on Monday, March 2 with a special Downton tea closing out the season five event.

The library is having a parent/child book discussion from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7. The book selected for the discussion is, “The Phantom Toolbooth” by Norton Juster. Parents can all the library to register for the discussion.

The library will hold a LEGO building contest from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 14 in which groups of three builders with varying skill level will compete to complete creations using their own imagination or instructions. Building challenges will be timed and prizes will be awarded. There is no cost for the program; however registration is required. Call 570-693-1364 to reserve a spot. Upcoming events for the library’s monthly themed Tea, Tips and Treasures parties include Musical Instruments on Saturday, March 21 and Nature Day on Saturday, April 18. Children ages 3 and up may attend. There is no cost for the program and an adult must stay with the child. Contact the library for any information and to sign up. Children must be signed up one week prior to the programs.

The Ye Old Gingerbread House Learning Center is hosting a Family Easter Extravaganza from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 22. The fundraiser will be held at 285 Wyoming Ave. in Wyoming. Children of all ages are invited to have their pictures taken with the Easter bunny (pictures will be e-mailed to the parents) and feed live animals. The animals are provided by Young’s Funny Farm in Berwick. The cost per child is $5 and all proceeds helps benefit the Wyoming Free Library.

The LEGO Club will meet on the following from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 28 and Saturday, April 25. This program is free and suitable for children of all ages. Registration is required by calling the library at 570-693-1364 to reserve spots.

The library is hosting a children’s art exhibition from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 26. The exhibition is open to artists in grades kindergarten through 12th grade. More information can be found on the library webpage or Facebook page.

The Adult Book Club meets at the library at noon on the second Wednesday of each month. Join us for great books and fun conversations. Feel free to bring lunch and suggestions for up coming books. We also occasionally meet at a restaurant.
