SCRANTON — The University of Scranton’s University of Success, a multi-year, pre-college program, is accepting applications for the 2015 school year. The program is designed for high school students to develop the skills needed to successfully gain acceptance to college.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in the eighth grade and possess a strong desire to attend college in the future.

The University of Success offers enrichment courses for students in study skills, SAT prep, public speaking, math, science, art and cultural activities, as well as financial aid and wellness seminars.

Upon entering the four-year program, enrolled students will spend two weeks in a residential program on the University’s campus from July 12 through July 24. The students then continue to participate in the program through their high school years with the ultimate goal of gaining acceptance into a four-year college or university.

Applications may be obtained by calling The University of Success Office at 570-941-4377 or by emailing Margaret Loughney, University of Success program director, at margaret.loughney@scranton.edu. Applications may also be obtained online from the University of Success web site.

Applications for 2015 must be received by April 1.
