On Feb. 5 at the Tunkhannock Area Girl’s Basketball Pink Out game, the Dairy Team sported the Milk: Nature’s Sport Drink campaign. They informed players and spectators about the hidden powers of milk that most people are not aware of.

Everyone has heard since they were kids that milk strengthens bones and that we need 3 servings of dairy every day. Most people do not know that milk is a great drink to refuel with after exercising or playing a basketball game. The team informed spectators and players that milk has electrolytes to help with re-hydration, proteins to reduce muscle breakdown and carbohydrates to replenish your body, along with other helpful facts.
