South Abington Elementary students browse tables of books provided by the school’s PTA Friday, March 6, the last day of a special reading week in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Each student was able to take home one new book for free.
South Abington Elementary students participated in a reading week food drive, donating items such as alphabet soup and alphabet pasta to a local food pantry.
SOUTH ABINGTON TWP. — South Abington Elementary School, in conjunction with the Read Across America project and in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, held reading activities March 2 through 6. On Friday, students and teachers came to school dressed as Whos from Whoville. The school’s PTA provided new books and tote bags, one of each for each student.
