WILKES-BARRE — A man is out $20 after he said he was robbed by a woman in a hotel room.
Police said they responded just after 9 p.m. to the 400 block of Kidder Street for reports of the robbery. The man who allegedly was robbed told officers that the woman, known only to him as “Mealie,” threatened him with a gun and demanded money.
The man, 29, told police he met the woman on Facebook and had relations with her.
After the woman demanded money, the man told police he saw a gun in her purse. Feeling threatened, he said he gave her $20 and she then left in a taxi.
The man had no further information on the suspect, saying he already had deleted her Facebook information.
The suspect was not located, and police said they have no further information.
