KINGSTON – Police apprehended two people on arrest warrants and allegedly found illegal drugs inside a vehicle during a traffic stop early Thursday morning.

Police said they stopped a Chevrolet Aveo for an inoperable brake light on Wyoming Avenue at about 1 a.m.

The driver, identified as Tracey Eugene Harvey, 27, of Harveys Lake, told an officer he was born in 1944, according to the criminal complaint.

Police allege Harvey used a false name to identify himself, telling an officer “I’m just kidding,” the complaint says.

Police learned Harvey was wanted by multiple law enforcement agencies.

A passenger in the vehicle, Jacqueline Brace, 28, of Harveys Lake, was wanted by Tunkhannock Township police in Wyoming County. Court records say Brace was charged by Tunkhannock Township police with criminal attempt to acquire a controlled substance on Oct. 1.

Police alleged Harvey was in possession of three bags of heroin in his pocket and Brace was in possession of a prescription tablet, an empty heroin packet and a syringe, the complaint says.

Three syringes were allegedly found in the vehicle’s glove box.

Harvey was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Halesey in Hanover Township on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $20,000 bail.

Brace was jailed at the county correctional facility on the warrant in Wyoming County.
