DUPONT — A man who dialed 911 for help was later arrested for allegedly assaulting another man with a knife during a drunken fight inside a residence on Coolidge Street here Monday.

Dylon Gibbon, 47, was arraigned Wednesday in Luzerne County Central Court on two counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment. He was jailed at the county lockup for lack of $25,000 bail.

Here are more details from a criminal complaint:

Gibbon called 911 at about 7:22 p.m. Monday, saying there was a domestic dispute at his residence. Gibbon was on the front porch waiting for police with an eye that was swollen shut and bloody facial injuries.

Gibbon said he got into a fight with George Krakowski because Krakowski was being disrespectful toward Theresa Wilbur. Krakowski resides in the same house with Gibbon.

Gibbon claimed Krakowski grabbed a knife that Wilbur wrestled away.

As Wilbur got control of the knife, Gibbon says he fell to the floor where Krakowski kicked him in the face.

But Wilbur and Krakowski told a different story.

They said Gibbon was hostile and grabbed a knife from a dishwasher. Gibbon then attempted to stab Krakowski, who punched Gibbon in the face.

Police noted Gibbon and Krakowski both showed signs of intoxication

Gibbon was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center where he was treated for facial injuries and high blood alcohol intoxication.
