HAZLETON — City police investigating two suspicious vehicles arrested two men and allegedly discovered a large amount of heroin, crystal methamphetamine, prescription pills and sale ledgers Thursday.

Hazleton Police Chief Jerry Speziale stated in a news release that when police responded to the 300 block of South Poplar Street to investigate the vehicles, they spotted one occupied by three men.

Police allegedly found inside that vehicle seven bricks of heroin, 30 grams of crystal meth, more than 65 pill tablets of various medications, three scales, three cellular phones, marijuana, packaging materials, three ledgers and more than $2,000 in cash.
