HUNLOCK TWP. — A man was stabbed twice in the armpit during a fight with another man outside a residence on Village Drive on Tuesday night.

State Police at Shickshinny arrested Ryan Adam Samsel, 22, who turned over a small pocket knife he allegedly used to stab Aron John Cramer.

According to a criminal complaint:

Troopers responded to a residence on Spring Hill Drive at about 8:30 p.m. They found Cramer on a kitchen floor bleeding from his armpit and rib area. Cramer told police he was stabbed about one hour earlier in front of the Village Drive residence and was given a ride to the Spring Hill Drive house.

Cramer knew his attacker only as “Ryan.”

State Police knew the culprit and went to his residence on Village Drive where they spoke with Frank H. Kulp.

Kulp told police he was watching a movie when Samsel told him two people were going to show up to fight him. Kulp and Samsel walked down a driveway where Cramer was waiting.

Samsel and Cramer fought, and Samsel stabbed Cramer during the fight.

Kulp was unaware Cramer had been stabbed when he gave him a ride to the Spring Hill Drive residence.

Samsel told police he stabbed Cramer twice during the altercation.

Samsel was arraigned Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and harassment. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $100,000 bail.
