PLYMOUTH — Borough police have located a juvenile they say stole a 91-year-old woman’s purse.

Officers responded to the CVS on East Main Street in Plymouth last Friday just before 5 p.m. The victim told them two males ripped the purse out of her arms while she was on her way into CVS.

Using surveillance footage, police were able to positively identify the male who took the purse before fleeing on foot.

On Tuesday, just before 11 a.m., officers went to a home in the 400 block of East Main Street where they knew the 17-year-old suspect frequented.

The male was spotted in the building and tried to flee. Officers gave chase, finding the male attempting to hide in the bathroom of the home. He was taken into custody and released to juvenile probation.

Police are asking for help finding the victim’s purse. It’s described as a black Vera Wang purse with bright flowers on the side. If you find it, you should call Plymouth Police at 570-779-2147 or 911.
