WILKES-BARRE — Traffic patterns will change with the temporary closing of a section of South Franklin Street from Anheiser Lane to West Market Street from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 6-7.

The change is the result of ongoing renovations at the Citizens Bank building.

South Franklin will be open to two-way traffic on the unaffected part during that time period. All garages and businesses, including Boscov’s, between Anheiser Lane to West Northampton Street will be accessible from South Franklin.

Signage for the road closure will be located at the intersection of West Northampton and South Franklin. Wilkes-Barre police will be present for traffic control.
