Edwardsville man

waives his hearing

WILKES-BARRE — A man charged with concealing the whereabouts of a woman accused in a stabbing waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Luzerne County Central Court on Wednesday.

Nathaniel Moore, 32, last known address of 815 Main St., Edwardsville, will now face a charge of hindering apprehension in county court.

According to a criminal complaint:

Police were investigating a stabbing involving Moore’s girlfriends, Qualuani Jzarie Anthony, 25, and Kathy Curry, on Jan. 5.

Anthony stabbed Curry in an eye with a knife. After the stabbing, Anthony fled and Moore repeatedly told police he did not know where Anthony was staying.

But Moore and Anthony were staying at motels in the Binghamton, New York, area.

Anthony was captured by U.S. Marshals in Broom County, New York, on Jan. 25. She recently sent aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment charges to county court.

Authorities said Curry lost her right eye after an infection.
