Winners announced for Fine Arts Fiesta poster contest

WILKES-BARRE — There were 170 entries submitted for the 2018 Fine Arts Fiesta poster contest from area schools, including Coughlin (Mackin) High School, St.Nicholas/St. Mary’s Schools, Crestwood High School, GAR, Holy Redeemer High School, Meyers High School, Greater Nanticoke Area High School and Wyoming Valley West High School.

The first- , second- and third-place awards are sponsored by Marquis Art and Frame.

• First-place winner is Jack Daoud, a sophomore at Holy Redeemer. He won a $200 gift certificate from Marquis. His design will be used as the official 2018 Fiesta poster.

• Second place: Kaylee Kotsko, a senior at Holy Redeemer; $100 gift certificate.

• Third place: Joseph S. Menn, a senior at Crestwood; $50 gift certificate.

• Honorable mentions: Jordyn Simonson, sophomore, Coughlin; Alaysia McDuffie, sophomore, Wyoming Valley West; Anayah Maldonado, sophomore, Wyoming Valley West; Emily Sulkowski, sophomore, Crestwood; and Ashley Amigon, junior, GAR.
