WILKES-BARRE — Hotelier and businessman Gus Genetti and his wife, Val, will be honored during the Luzerne Foundation’s annual meeting and reception next week.
The event is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the F. M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts on Public Square.
The Genettis will be presented with the 2018 Mary Bevevino Community Service Award.
Thursday’s activities will begin with refreshments and hors d’oeuvres, with the annual meeting program kicking off at 6:15 p.m.
Organizers say the free event is one of the largest gatherings of nonprofit organizations, grant recipients, donors, board members and members of the community.
