KINGSTON — A Kingston man was arrested Sunday on charges he threatened his female roommate and another woman with a cinder block.

Police responded to an apartment building at 67 W. Union St. late Sunday afternoon when two women claimed Joseph Reese Williams, 56, threatened them. One of the women is Williams’ roommate and the other female is the apartment building’s manager.

According to a criminal complaint:

The two women claimed Williams was highly intoxicated and threatened to shoot them outside the apartment building. They said Williams picked up a cinder block and threatened to hit his female roommate with it.

During the dispute with the two women, Williams threw a table.

The roommate claimed Williams had threatened her in the past.

Police arrested the suspect in his apartment.

Williams was arraigned by District Judge Michael Dotzel in Wilkes-Barre Township on two counts each of terroristic threats and harassment and a single count of disorderly conduct. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail.
