KINGSTON — Borough police responded to a Wyoming Avenue motel Thursday night after receiving reports of a man wanting to fight other tenants.

When they arrived, it seemed the suspect also wanted to fight them.

Officers said they were met at the Budget Inn by a naked man drinking a 16-ounce can of Keystone Ice and shouting obscenities.

Police later identified the man as John Filozof, 53, of Kingston.

As officers approached, Filozof began to walk toward them, clenching his fists, according to an affidavit. He then swore at police and dared them to use a Taser on him, laughing.

Instead, police said they were able to quickly subdue Filozof and arrest him. He did refuse to put on clothing, however.

Filozof was arraigned by District Judge Brian James Tupper in Kingston Township on misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure, open lewdness and disorderly conduct, as well as a public drunkenness citation.

He remains in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $2,500 bail. A preliminary hearing was set for June 13.
