WILKES-BARRE — After an investigation into a complaint of animal cruelty by the Wilkes-Barre City police department, Tyquan Hinds, 22, has been charged with aggravated animal cruelty following an incident on Parkview Circle.

Police allege that Hinds intentionally caused harm to two cats. The first cat died of injuries sustained while the second cat had to be euthanized due to extensive injuries.

Further details were not immediately available Friday.
