PITTSTON TWP. — USHydrations will reveal its latest technological addition Thursday in the form of a $20 million high-speed beverage manufacturing line at a celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Located in the Grimes Industrial Park, USHydrations is also expected to announce plans for an even greater expansion of its headquarters.
The company’s manufacturing facilities currently cover 600,000 square feet of operating space. With the latest addition, it will be able to produce more than 2,000 bottles a minute, or 2.5 million a day.
Prashant Shitut, president and CEO, said the company has done well financially and operationally the last few years.
“We have more than tripled the workforce, which is good for the community,” Shitut said. “We are serving our customers and meeting their ever-changing needs.”
Shitut said the company’s next venture will be to install a state-of-the-art can line in the next year.
“Such production capabilities are not readily available in the industry,” Shitut said. “We are at the forefront in making investments and installing cutting-edge technology.”
Shitut said USHydrations is using less preservatives and more natural ingredients, which he said requires a specific type of technology.
The new line, which utilizes matrix PET bottle blowers, is capable of rapidly producing and filling bottles of nearly any shape or size, encompassing everything from mineral and flavor injections to custom packaging and labeling.
USHydrations continues to attract the world’s most popular brands.
The premier beverage contract manufacturer also recently announced its new partnership with CORE, the nation’s fastest-growing organic beverage brand. CORE’s leadership team will attend Thursday’s event.
USHydrations’ facility is positioned geographically within the immediate reach of more 100 million consumers, Shitut noted.
