NANTICOKE — A 21-year-old man from West Nanticoke solicited sex from a 14-year-old boy, including sending a lewd video of himself, according to court records filed Wednesday.
Glen Andrew Jenkins Jr., of East Poplar Street, also allegedly took sexually provocative pictures of two girls while they were in high school.
Jenkins was arrested after an investigation by the state Office of Attorney General that began in September 2017.
According to the criminal complaint:
A state agent disguising as a 14-year-old boy on a social media app was contacted by Jenkins who used a screen name. Jenkins was aware he was conversing with a teen boy.
Communications between the two changed to another social media app commonly used by teenagers.
During their online interactions, Jenkins allegedly solicited the boy for sex, describing many lewd acts.
“I always wanted to be someone’s first,” Jenkins allegedly stated to the boy.
Jenkins sent the boy a video of himself performing a lewd act and images of his face, investigators said.
Arrangements were discussed to meet the boy but their plans were not finalized as Jenkins wrote, “I am not playing with you. You’re just so young. I can’t do this. I’ll get in so much trouble,” the complaint says.
State agents learned Jenkins’ real name and residence, where he was questioned in November 2017.
Jenkins allegedly told investigators he met a 14-year-old boy on a social media app and the conversations were sexual in nature. He also knew he sent the lewd video to someone who he believed was a minor, the complaint says.
Jenkins also allegedly admitted he took nude pictures of a female minor.
State agents were permitted to search Jenkins’ cell phone and IPod, which contained nude pictures of another female minor.
Jenkins was arraigned by District Judge Donald Whittaker in Nanticoke on three counts of unlawful contact with a minor, two counts of sexual abuse of children, and one count each of dissemination of an explicit sexual material and criminal use of communication facility.
He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $250,000 bail.
