Chamber’s Epic Awards set for Tuesday

WILKES-BARRE – The Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce will honor individuals and organizations that have made significant and meaning positive impacts on our community Tuesday night at its 2018 Epic Awards ceremony.

The individuals being honored include:

• Kathleen Dunsmuir, ATHENA Award. The award, sponsored by Riggs Asset Management, shows that Dunsmuir attained and personified the highest level of professional excellence in her profession, has devoted time and energy to the community in a meaningful way, and has generously assisted women in attaining their full potential.

• Will Beekman, Innovator of the Year Award. Beekman, the executive director of the F.M Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, will be honored for his to drive innovation within our region.
• Alison Zurawski, Volunteer of the Year Award. Zurawski is community relations coordinator at Community Bank, N.A.
The chamber will also present two Community Celebration Awards, honoring Northeast Sight Services for its 100th year and the Family Business Alliance for its 20th year.
The ceremonies will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Wyoming Seminary Kirby Center for the Creative Arts, 260 North Sprague Ave., Kingston.
