Nanticoke police search for armed robbery suspect, woman in store

NANTICOKE — Nanticoke City police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a convenience store early Saturday.

Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at 3:55 a.m. at the Turkey Hill Mini Mart, 460 W. Main St., according to a press release.

The male suspect reportedly entered the store and jumped over the counter, demanding money from the cash register while holding a kitchen knife. He was seen fleeing onto Alden Road.

The suspect is described as wearing winter gloves, a blue scarf over his face, black/blue jeans and black boots. The knife had a brown handle.

Police are also looking to speak with a woman who was in the store at the time of the robbery.

Nanticoke police encourage anyone with information about the crime to contact officers at 570-735-2200 ext. 206.
