SCRANTON — Dr. Steven J. Scheinman, president and dean of The Commonwealth Medical College, and Dr. Linda Thomas-Hemak, president and CEO of The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education, will sign a memorandum of understanding formalizing the relationship between the two institutions on Tuesday.
The memorandum will allow for the two institutions to collaborate on endeavors including strategic planning, education and training, and clinical initiatives.
TCMC and The Wright Center already have been working collaboratively for years to enhance medical education and innovative clinical training throughout the region.
One 2014 TCMC graduate currently is training in internal medicine at The Wright Center, and through the recent residency match, two members of the current graduating class will train at The Wright Center in the Wilkes-Barre-based family medicine residency program.
