WILKES-BARRE — Mayor Tony George and department representatives from City Hall will attend the South Wilkes-Barre Crime Watch meeting at Central United Methodist Church, at the corner of South Franklin and Academy streets, Monday. The meeting runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The administration’s attendance will be similar to the meeting on June 7 held by Iron Triangle residents at St. Anthony’s Church on Park Avenue.

“Attending the already established Crime Watch Meetings allows the mayor’s administration to connect with residents, in their neighborhoods, on their time” said city Administrator Ted Wampole.

The administration intends to attend other upcoming neighborhood crime watch meetings and the dates will be announced soon.

Additionally, residents can share concerns with city administration through the Mayor’s HelpLine 570-821-1111, the city’s website, www.wilkes-barre.city, and the city’s Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/wilkesbarrecity.
