CARBONDALE TWP. — Three people from the Pittston area were arrested Monday on charges they held up a Lackawanna County store at gunpoint.

State police at Dunmore allege Brandon Robinson, 20, of Exeter, and Cody Amos, 20, of West Pittston, were carrying firearms when they entered US Mini Mart on Main Street and demanded a clerk to open a cash register.

Robinson and Amos fled the store with cash and ran to a vehicle that was parked nearby, authorities say.

State police said witnesses obtained a description of the get-away vehicle, which was spotted on the Casey Highway where the two men and Alexsei Alward, 21, of Pittston Township, were arrested.

Robinson and Amos were each charged with three counts of criminal conspiracy and one count each of robbery, theft, receiving stolen property and possession of a weapon. They were arraigned by District Judge Joanne Price Corbett and jailed at the Lackawanna County Prison for lack of $75,000 bail each.

Alward was charged with two counts of criminal conspiracy and one count each of robbery and receiving stolen property. She was jailed for lack of $50,000 bail.
