HAZLETON — City police Wednesday arrested a man they allege sexually molested two juveniles during a sleepover.
Ralph Simmons, 61, of West Green Street, West Hazleton, is accused of molesting two children, ages 8 and 4, on May 29.
Police said the two children were interviewed at the Luzerne County Children’s Advocacy Center after the alleged incident.
According to police, the two children were staying at Simmons’ residence for a sleepover and were in a bed with Simmons.
He was in the middle and allegedly began molesting one of the children with his hands. The child jumped out of bed and laid down farther away from Simmons, police said.
When the child moved, officers say Simmons molested the other child.
He was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Zola in Hazleton on two counts each of corruption of minors and indecent assault. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $50,000 bail.
