WEST HAZLETON — A woman was arraigned Friday on charges she injured a man with a butcher knife during a domestic dispute with her boyfriend.

Borough police allege Lisa Vandemark, 46, of West Clay Avenue, had a butcher knife when she lunged at Noel Perez, 43, but instead struck Robert Vandemark.

Police said Robert Vandemark, 47, suffered a laceration to his forehead and a stab wound to his left arm. He was treated at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.

Robert Vandemark told police he stepped in front of Perez when Lisa Vandemark charged at him.

Lisa Vandemark was arraigned by District Judge Thomas Malloy in Wilkes-Barre on two counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. She was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $50,000 bail.
