BLOOMSBURG — Town police have issued an immediate evacuation notice as flood waters have caused Fishing Creek to overflow its banks.

“Residents of the West end of Bloomsburg need to Evacuate immediately. Fishing Creek is crossing the road on Route 11/West Main Street,” a message posted to the department’s website and Twitter account Monday afternoon stated.

“The water is rising quickly. Evacuate now,” it added.

Video posted to the Fox56 website from a viewer shows a camper floating along the muddy water under a bridge, as stunned onlookers can only say “oh, my God.”
